In connection with the 20-year anniversary of the Azerbaijan Photographers Union, photo exhibitions will be presented to the audience during the “International Photo Days 2018” event, which will take place in May 14-16, 2018.
50 photos will be exhibited in each of the three exhibitions at 3×50 concept. Works of International Photography Day winners, Azerbaijan photographers whose works passed initial screening phase, photos of Mehmet Gökyiğit and Georgian photographers, winners of FIAP and Azerbaijan hall, will be exhibited, and seminars and meetings will be organized. Photo tours are planned for international photographers to historical places of Azerbaijan.
President of the Georgian Photographic Association and 12 Georgian photographers, the Chairperson of the Foder Photographers Association and the Deputy Chairman of the Izmir Photography Association will be among the foreign guests of the event.
For the first time in Azerbaijan the International Photo Contest was hosted by the Association of Azerbaijani Photographers “CAUCASUS – CARPATHIANS CIRCUIT – 2017” (Georgia – Azerbaijan), the Association of Photographers of Georgia, and Zakarpatye Photography Association. Photographers from 57 countries took part in the international photography competition. 383 photographers presented 5306 photos. 3 halls and 158 photographers of FIAP have been awarded. Winners were selected by 9 juries with international degrees. Photographers from 27 countries including Azerbaijan won 52 awards on 4 nominations in “Salon of Art Photo – Azerbaijan-2017”.
