The second day of the Formula 1 Grand Prix began with the Formula 2 Championship. Robert Schwartzman from “Prema Racing”, who was in Baku for the first time, won the first race. Later, in the second race Jüri Vips, who shared almost the same unsuccessful start with Schwartzman at the beginning of the season, also changed the situation in his favor by winning the Baku track. Guanyu Zhou, Piastri and Pourchaire took the first 3 places due to the results of the total points in the championship.

The Formula 1 Qualification session got a remarkable race by it’s 4 red flags. The last time it at 2016 Hungarian GP Qualification. Lance Stroll from “Aston Martin” and Antonio Giovinazzi from “Alfa Romeo” teams brought two red flags to the track due to their accidents at Turn 15. The other two red flags were displayed due to accidents involving Yuki Tsunoda from “AlphaTauri” and Carlos Sainz from “Ferrari” teams at Turn 3 and Daniel Riccardo from “McLaren” team at the same turn by end of the session.
According to the results of this round, Charles Leclerc, Lewis Hamilton, Max Festappen, Pierre Gasly and Carlos Sainz took the first 5 places in a row.
