Award Ceremony of Winners of “Georgian Drag-2019” International Photo Contest Award Ceremony of the Winners of “Georgian Drag-2019” International Photo Contest was in September, 6 at the SOCAR Eco Park. The photography competition was organized by the Union of Azerbaijan Photographers (UAP), the Association of Georgian Photographers (AGP), with the support of the Federation of International Art Photography (FIAP) and the Eco Park: Center of Ecological Researches. Opening the event, Tahir Shikhaliyev, the director of the Eco Park: Center of Ecological Researches, expressed his satisfaction with the event. Rauf Umudlu, Deputy Chairman of the UAP, the member of jury spoke about the importance of the exhibition in his speech. He said that 4733 works by 327 photographers from 52 countries were included in the competition for 157 awards in 4 sections of FIAP, AGP, UAP and Photolife. Azerbaijani photographers won 5 awards – 1 gold, 1 silver, 2 bronze medals and a diploma. He noted that UAP members Shahin Sarkarov was awarded with gold, Fargana Gasimli with silver, Aydin Mehdiyev and Nadezhda Javad were awarded the bronze medal and Svetlana Kamkova , honorary member of the Union, member of the Union of Photographers and Journalists of Russia was awarded with diploma. Our other participants Nurlan Tahirli, Rasul Rahimov, Alexander Firstov and Azim Mehdiyev passed from the first round. It should be noted that UAP members want to gain international ranks by participating in competitions. At the event, Kakha Pkhakadze, Chairman of Association of the Georgian Photographers and Nino Mgebrishvili, board member of Association of the Georgian Photographers, Secretary of the Georgian Drag-2019 salon, photographer, shared their impressions of the exhibition, most of the works presented to the Georgian Drag-2019 show interest in the Photo Contest. After all the winners of the competition were awarded. At the end of ceremony, the winners and foreign guests planted a tree at the Eco park with the guests of the event.
