I, Aliyev Emil Shahin oglu, was born on April 12, 1990 in the city of Neftchala. I studied at the Neftchala secondary school No. 1 named after S. Imanov (from 1996 to 2007). Then I graduated from the Lankaran Medical College (years of education: 2007 to 2009). At this moment I work in the department of epidemiology of the Regional Center for Hygiene and Epidemiology of Neftchala. At the same time I am getting higher education at the Faculty of History and Geography of Sumgayit State University.
Since I was a child I had a great attraction for Art. This was reflected mostly in painting. While still in school, my drawings were constantly published in the magazine “Gunesh” and in the newspaper “Tumurcuk”. At the same time, I showed great interest in photography. I started shooting my first shots with a Wizen camera gifted to me by my parents. Over time, my passion for photography exceeded my interest in drawing, and I took up photography more professionally. I studied photography using video tutorials on the Internet, reading foreign literature related the subject, and most importantly, I constantly applied the new knowledge gained in practice. Last year I came across a book written by Rafael Gambarov and Amin Novruzov “Photo Composition”. I was very happy that the textbook was published in our native language. I believe that anyone interested in photography should refer to this tutorial.
From 2021 I am a member of the Union of Photographers of Azerbaijan. Mostly I prefer to take photos in the genre of landscape and portrait. I love to reflect the beauty of nature, as well as the emotions on people’s faces. I also try my hand at various photo contests. During the quarantine period, I took third place in the photo contests “Sights of our region”, organized by the Bilasuvar Regional Department of Culture and “Stay at home, take pictures”, organized by the Union of Photographers of Azerbaijan. One of my goals is to hold my personal photo exhibition of my favorite photos.
Photography is an integral part of my life, and I believe that in the future, no matter what path I work in, my photo archive will be replenished.
