At the Grand Slam tournament in Baku, held from February 14 to 16 at the National Gymnastics Arena, Azerbaijani judoka won 1 gold, 1 silver and 3 bronze medals. With this result, our team took the third place in the overall standings after Japan and Germany in terms of the number of medals and the second place after Japan among men.

On the first day of the competition, Azerbaijani judoka won two bronze medals. Akhmed Yusifov took third place in the -60 kg weight category, and Elshan Asadov in the -66 kg weight category.

The second day of the competition was more productive for the Azerbaijani national team. In the -81 kg weight class, Zelim Tskaev won all the matches and won the gold medal. Rashid Mammadaliyev won the silver medal in the -73 kg weight category, and Vusal Galandarzade won the bronze medal in the same weight category.

On the last day of the competition, Azhdar Bagirov and Kanan Nasibov finished fifth in the -100 kg and +100 kg, while Ushangi Kokauri took only 7th place.
