The European Rhythmic Gymnastics Cup, held in Baku for the first time, ended on May 5.

The 160 athletes from 37 countries took part in the tournament, organized at the National Gymnastics Arena. According to the rules of the three-day competition, the winners were determined in the individual program and all-around, as well as in the team competition.

The Azerbaijani team consisting of Zeynab Gummatova, Gullu Agalarzade, Daria Sorokina, Elizaveta Luzan, Laman Alimuradova and Kamilla Aliyeva in the group exercises program won a bronze medal in the all-around, as well as in exercises with 3 ribbons and 2 balls.

In individual performances among juniors, Ilaha Bahadirova in ball exercises and Shams Aghahuseynova in ribbon exercises rose to the second step of the podium.

Among the adult athletes, Zohra Agamirova and Kamilla Seidzade were unable to enter the prize-winners.
Thus, the Azerbaijani gymnasts completed the prestigious tournament with two silver and two bronze awards.
