On May 17-21, the 39th European Rhythmic Gymnastics Championship was held in Baku at the National Gymnastics Arena. The participants of the championship, held under the motto “Shine like a star”, were graces from 38 countries.

Azerbaijan team has five medals. Two bronze medals – in the all-around and in the program with five balls, won by the junior team in group exercises consisting of Govkhar Ibragimova, Sakinakhanym Ismailzade, Madina Aslanova, Ilakha Bakhadyrova, Ayan Sadygova, Zahra Jafarova.

It is also “gold” in the exercises with three ribbons and two balls, “bronze” in the all-around, won by the senior team in group exercises consisting of Gullu Agalarzade, Laman Alimuradova, Kamilla Aliyeva, Zeynab Gummetova, Elizaveta Luzan and Daria Sorokina, and a bronze medal, won by the Azerbaijani gymnast Zohra Agamirova in the ball program.
