The brightest sporting event of this summer, the XV European Youth Olympic Festival, passes in Baku from June 21 to 27.

Young athletes – boys and girls from 14 to 18 years old – compete in 10 sports: gymnastics, athletics, basketball, cycling, handball, judo, swimming, tennis, volleyball and wrestling.

3,900 athletes from 48 European countries play 135 sets of medals.

Azerbaijan at the festival represented 122 athletes.

There are already  19 medals (9 gold, 5 silver, 5 bronze) in to account of the Azerbaijan team.
